Call (402) 934-9045. Listen to our Sun 9 am services live (or podcast) at: ift.tt/1184rtZ Sunday morning Divine Service for 12/29/13 and Pastor Philip Houser’s Sermon. The prophet Isaiah asks, “Where is He?” as does Herod in Matthew 2; the slaughter of the innocents. While the devils of poverty, sickness, old age, (etc) are nowhere on a par with the slaughter of the innocents; we still ask, “Where is He?” It’s the stuff of the fallen world we live in. None of us are innocent because of the fall. The only innocent is Jesus Christ. Yet Herod wanted to wipe out salvation. Jesus needed to be hustled down to Egypt — yet He is innocent. But Jesus came to save us. We have inherited salvation through His flesh and blood. He is not an absent savior. He’s with us in Holy Communion and the Holy Spirit. No matter what this fallen world serves up, we have the victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
