Sunday Divine Service for 1/26/14; Pastor Philip Houser’s Sermon. God asked, “Adam where are you?” Adam descended, yet God’s grace and mercy remains. God uses the law to call his children, yet we also have to good news of the Gospel. In Matthew 4, Jesus said, “Come follow me”. We are called by our faith to repent and follow Christ. We’re sinners, but God has called us and promised us salvation. Jesus opened the doors of heaven for us. When God asks, “Where are you?” — we say — “Right here next to Christ.”
